Here is a list of the best Christmas markets taking place around the country.
1.Dublin Christmas Flea Market 2018 – The Point Village
Featuring 280 stalls in total there’s 140 entirely different selection of stalls on each weekend, all under one roof at The Point Village, Dublin 1.
Dublin Flea Christmas Market, a free-to-enter family-friendly event, specialises in providing a platform for Ireland’s best up and coming designers, craftspeople, artists, collectors and creative start-ups. Highly curated, with no two stalls the same, the market has an incredible variety of quality contemporary and vintage items including craft, art, design, jewellery, fashion, furniture, skincare, home-wares, antiques and collectables.

2.Dun Laoghaire Christmas Festival 2018
The festival will feature the largest ever display of Christmas lights in Dún Laoghaire, the iconic Ferris Wheel from the movie Grease, a Vintage Funfair, Santa’s Post Box and the very popular Christmas market with a traditional and nostalgic theme, bringing the magic of Christmas and a Winter Wonderland for the festive season
The Dún Laoghaire Christmas Markets’ carefully selected vendors will sell authentic hand-made gifts and delicious treats every weekend from November 24th to December 23rd on the metals and opposite dlr LexIcon from 11am to 7pm.
3.The Galway Christmas Markets 2018
Even bigger and better than before!
The market has expanded to become a city wide event and is set to be the largest festive event in Ireland. Eyre Square remains at the heart of festivities with visitors browsing the wooden chalets brimming with crafts, toys, jewellery, cosmetics, decorations and plenty of stocking fillers. For the foodies, tuck into a bratwurst, taste a tempting selection of French pastries, pretzels or confectionary, with the scent of crêpes and waffles wafting through the Christmas village. Sample a stein at the German Bierkeller or a warming cup of mulled wine and hot chocolate at the cosy bars and coffee docks, with festive music and live events adding to the yuletide spirit.
Explore a host of new events and attractions at this year’s Galway Christmas Market, including vintage carousels and amusements, pantomimes and festive performances, Santa’s grotto and pop-up shops at various locations through the city. The market is starting on Friday, November 16th and will run until Saturday, December 22nd.
4. Winterval Waterford Christmas Celebration 2018
Pick up a yummy treat as you stroll around the stalls, searching for that perfect Christmas present. Grab a bite and a beverage while you watch Winterval Illuminates or listen to the entertainment on the Winterval Igloo Stage.
Winterval Dates: Fri to Sun from Nov 17, and from Dec 19th-23rd. Some events run on non-Winterval dates and beyond Dec 23rd. Check www.winterval.ie for full details when planning your visit.
5.GLOW- Corks Christmas Celebration 2018
Join us for the return of GLOW 2018.
Visit our festive installation in Bishop Lucey Park, soar high above Cork on a giant Ferris wheel and indulge in our festive market and entertainment on the Grand Parade this Christmas.

The Ferris Wheel will open from 12 noon from Friday, 30th November 2018 to Sunday 6th January.

6.The Belfast Christmas Market 2018
Making a welcome return to the grounds of Belfast City Hall, the Christmas Market is a celebration of festive sights sounds and aromas from across the globe.
Take a break from the busy walkways in our food court with bench style seating. Take in the stunning views right across the market from the top of the vintage Helter Skelter, a wonderful whizzing experience for the kids.
Visit over 90 beautiful wooden chalets and drink in the atmosphere as you make your way around this festive village featuring food, crafts, entertainment and two bars.
The festival is running from Saturday the 17th November to Saturday the 22nd December 2018.
